Jonny Brinson

Jonny is an experienced music educator and professional musician with over a decade in classroom and private teaching, and more than 15 years performing as a session drummer. Born and raised in South-West Wales, he earned a Bachelor of Music at Goldsmiths, University of London, followed by a PGCE in Secondary Performing Arts and an MA in Education from UCL.

He has held leadership roles as Head of Music in both private and state secondary schools, where he transformed departmental culture and refined his teaching practice. Now a full-time, self-employed tutor in guitar, bass, drums, music theory, and exam preparation, Jonny combines professional performance experience with tailored, student-centred learning to build confidence and passion in every learner.
