Where It All Began
"Music has always been my lifeline, from my years on stage as a professional singer to thousands of hours spent holding the baton as a conductor.
But recently, I noticed a change in the air. As more of our daily life moves into the digital world, that vital, community spirit has started to feel a bit thin. I realised that while technology claims to "connect" us, it can actually leave many of us feeling more isolated, with fewer reasons to get out of the house and simply be among friends.
I wanted to create a space that fits back into the real rhythm of the day - a place where we can set aside the bustle of the modern world and remember what it feels like to build a harmony in person. How long are rehearsals?
Our rehearsals are 1hr 45 mins total, split into two 40–45 minute singing halves with a nice 20–25 minute tea and coffee break in the middle!

What is the membership cost?
Joining the Good Day Choir costs £25 a month. That single fee covers everything—from sheet music, venue hire, and music team costs to your refreshments and choir insurance!

How do I sign up and become a member?
Joining the Good Day Choir couldn't be easier. Simply attend a FREE taster session at any one of our locations after which you'll receive an email with all the details of becoming a member.

Is there any reward scheme for bringing friends?
ABSOLUTELY! Bring a friend, get a free month! If you bring a friend to rehearsal and they sign up as a member, your next month is completely free. Even better? This offer stacks! Bring 12 friends who join, and you’ll get a full year of choir for free!

Do I need to audition to join?
No, there is no audition required. Everyone can become a member, whether you're an experienced singer or brand new to the hobby!

Do I need to be able to read sheet music?
Not at all! While we do use sheet music in rehearsals, there’s zero expectation that you know how to read it. Our music team designs every session to be as clear and accessible as possible. They’ll guide you step-by-step, so you can learn at your own pace and pick up a fantastic new skill along the way!

What is the rehearsal schedule throughout the year?
We run continuously throughout the year rather than following a traditional school term schedule. You get regular weekly rehearsals year-round, with only a couple of brief breaks during peak holiday seasons to give our team a well-earned rest!

Are there any learning aids to help me learn the songs quicker?
Yes, absolutely! We have a complete guide vocal library hosted right here in our private Members Area. You can listen to and practice your specific vocal part at home, so you can head into each rehearsal feeling confident and well-prepared!
